OnePlus Ace 5 Racing : Full Specification

• The Racing Edition has grabbed the most spotlight as it is quite powerful in both performance and battery.

• Powerful Performance with MediaTek Dimensity 9400e

The biggest upgrade in the Racing Edition is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e chipset. This chipset is the latest update to MediaTek’s flagship-level processors, including improved fabrication processes.

This processor is very effective at multitasking and gaming. According to early benchmark tests from China, it performs around the same as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Big OLED Display with 120Hz Refresh Rate

The phone has a 6.77-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2392×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This makes the colours look quite vibrant and scrolling is buttery smooth. There is also HDR10+ support for better Netflix and YouTube experience.

Battery with 80W Fast Charging

The phone also rocks in the battery segment – it has a 7,100mAh monster battery! This is the biggest battery in any OnePlus phone so far. And with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support, the phone charges from 0 to 50% in just 25 minutes.

In a country like India where people travel frequently, this battery + fast charging combo can be a great advantage.

Dual Camera Setup with Sony Sensor

In the camera setup, you get dual rear camera – 50MP primary sensor (rumoured Sony IMX890) and a 2MP secondary depth/macro sensor. The front has a 16MP selfie camera, which is placed in the centre punch-hole.

This camera is good enough for casual photography and social media, but don’t expect any high-end camera features.

Global Variant: Will it come with the name of OnePlus Nord 5?

OnePlus has not yet confirmed the international launch of the Ace 5, but according to reliable leakers, the device could launch globally as the OnePlus Nord 5.

A global version is expected to launch in July 2025, which could be slightly customised for markets like India, Europe, and South East Asia. OnePlus has done this before as well – OnePlus Ace 2 was launched in the international market as the OnePlus 11R.

Features of Ace 5 that can be found in Nord 5

MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset

High-refresh OLED display

• 7,100mAh big battery with 80W fast charging

If all this is available in the range of ₹30,000–₹32,000, then this phone can become a tough competitor for these phones:

• iQOO Neo 9 Pro

• Realme GT Neo 6

• Redmi K70

• Motorola Edge 50 Pro

Expected Price in India

Its price in China is CNY 2,299, which is approx ₹27,000 in India. But GST, import duty, etc. After that, the India price can go up to around ₹30,000–₹32,000.

Previous success of Oneplus Ace Series

OnePlus had earlier made the Ace series only for China, in which more focus was done on performance, fast charging and multimedia. OnePlus Ace 2 and Ace 2 Pro gained a lot of popularity, and later the same devices came to India under the name of OnePlus 11R or Nord series.

If OnePlus follows this strategy, then Ace 5 Racing Edition can also become a blockbuster in India under ₹35,000.

Will Nord 5 Be Worth It in India?

The combination of OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Racing Edition is a perfect balance of performance, battery and display quality. Currently it is China-exclusive, but if it comes to India as OnePlus Nord 5, then it can become a very attractive option for Indian users.

Now everyone’s eyes are on July month – will OnePlus launch this phone in India? The name may be different, but the DNA will be the same powerful.
