DJI Mini 5 Pro Camera: 50MP One-Inch Sensor

The DJI Mini 5 Pro comes with a powerful 50-megapixel one-inch sensor, a big leap for a drone of this size. This enables sharp, detailed shots even in low-light conditions such as sunsets, cityscapes, and night skies.

A new 48mm Medium Tele mode allows users to zoom in with better resolution, making subjects pop with depth and texture. DJI has also improved its portrait optimization technology, which enhances brightness, skin tones, and contrast for social media–ready photos.

Stunning 4K HDR Video

Video creators will love the 4K/60fps HDR recording and up to 14 stops of dynamic range, perfect for shooting cinematic sunrise or sunset scenes. The drone also supports slow-motion recording at 4K/120fps, giving action shots a dramatic touch.

For professionals, the Mini 5 Pro offers 10-bit video with H.265 encoding for richer colors and smoother grading. The maximum ISO goes up to 12,800, while in D-Log M and HLG modes it reaches 3,200—ideal for bright, detailed night city shots.

Flexible Shooting Modes

The gimbal now supports 225° roll rotation and true vertical shooting, letting users capture tall buildings, waterfalls, or wide landscapes without cropping for Instagram or Reels.

Intelligent modes like Timelapse, QuickShots, Spotlight, and Waypoint Flight make it easy to create professional-looking footage with minimal effort.

Enhanced Safety With Night Obstacle Sensing

DJI has added forward-facing LiDAR and multiple vision sensors for safer flights in low light. The Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing system detects and avoids obstacles, making take-off and return safer in urban environments.

The drone can even memorize flight routes when there’s enough light, ensuring it can return safely even without GPS—useful when flying from balconies or areas with weak signals. With dual-band GNSS, the Mini 5 Pro locks onto more satellites for stable positioning.

Smarter Tracking With ActiveTrack 360°

The new ActiveTrack 360° feature delivers smoother and safer subject tracking. It automatically adjusts for sports, fast movements, or complex scenes, balancing speed and stability for the best framing.

Intelligent Shooting Features

DJI packs its usual smart tools into the Mini 5 Pro:

MasterShots: Auto-generated cinematic templates for portraits, landscapes, and close-ups.

QuickShots: Modes like Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Helix, Boomerang, and Asteroid.

Panorama: Seamless wide shots stitched from multiple images.

Improved Connectivity and File Transfer

The Mini 5 Pro supports remote wake-up via the DJI Fly app and offers Wi-Fi 6 file transfers at up to 100 MB/s. Even if you switch apps, the transfer continues in the background.

Longer Flight Time

With the standard Intelligent Flight Battery, the Mini 5 Pro offers up to 36 minutes of flight time. Those needing longer sessions can opt for the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, which boosts flight time to an impressive 52 minutes—a first for a drone this compact.

DJI Mini 5 Pro: A Compact Powerhouse

The DJI Mini 5 Pro combines portability with professional-grade features, making it one of the most versatile drones in its category. From travel vlogging and wedding shoots to cinematic cityscapes, this drone offers something for both hobbyists and professionals in India.

With its upgraded sensor, safety features, and longer flight time, the Mini 5 Pro is likely to become the go-to choice for creators who want high-quality aerial footage without investing in a bulky setup.
