On April 28, Audi officially unveiled the new Audi RS Q8 Performance in China. This powerful SUV had earlier set a remarkable lap record at the Nürburgring racetrack, clocking a lap time of just 7 minutes and 36.698 seconds, making it the fastest mass-produced SUV on that iconic circuit. The starting price is around 1.68 crore.

The new car uses matte carbon fiber rearview mirrors, front spoiler components and matte gray rear diffuser to highlight its sporty atmosphere; four paint options are available: Ascari Blue, Sakhir Gold, Istanbul Red, and Carrara White, as well as black appearance package and carbon fiber/black sports appearance package.

Power & Performance

Audi RS Q8 Performance is equipped with a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine + 48V mild hybrid technology, with a maximum power of 640ps and a peak torque of 850 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, and its top speed can reach 280 km/h. It is reported that this is also the most powerful mass-produced fuel engine in Audi’s history. In addition, RSQ8 Performance is also equipped with a customized exhaust system, which brings a more shocking sound.

Transmission & Drive

The Audi RS Q8 Performance comes equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission (not manual) and Audi’s legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive system. It also features a mechanical central differentialand adaptive air suspension, which allows the suspension height to be adjusted by up to 90 mm, offering a balance of comfort and performance on Indian roads.

Braking & Wheels

RS Q8 Performance comes standard with 440 mm front carbon ceramic brake discs and 370 mm rear brake discs, providing stronger braking performance. It is worth mentioning that RS Q8 Performance can also be equipped with a set of lightweight 23-inch wheels, which further reduces the unsprung mass compared to the standard 22-inch wheels.
